ANGELA TRINH
Director
Angela firmly believes that nutrition education can help communities heal from the inside. She is an experienced foodservice operations & food safety consultant in the food & beverages industry. Throughout her career, she has practiced trauma-informed nutrition counseling, nutrition sciences, corporate wellness programs, and medical nutrition therapy for hemodialysis patients as well as nutrition counseling for diabetes.
As a sports dietitian, she currently works at Stanford University, while pursuing a masters degree in human nutrition. From her childhood experience of growing up in a single-family household, she wished there was someone in her life who was around to teach her how to cook. She turned that desire into a reality by opening her own Green Business Certified healthy cafe and catering company, serving healthy foods from local, organic and seasonal sources.
She has been an active instructor for Kids Cooking for Life for over 2 years, focusing on inner City communities, such as the Tenderloin, Bayview, Mission and Visitacion Valley neighborhoods in San Francisco. She has mentored other instructors at partner organizations under the Together We Cook program for one year. She is honored with the opportunity to teach kids how to cook, so that they can care for themselves and each other.
