Oakland, California native Tasha Thomas (Ms.T) passion for cooking and baking blossomed very early in her grandmother's kitchen, where cherished memories were crafted, like the joy of sifting flour for her grandmother's legendary moist chocolate cake with an antique flour shifter, and afternoons spent in the living room, captivated by the culinary magic of KQED cooking shows, and the fascination of what was Julia Childs voice to her five year old ears. Years later, Ms. T's affection for being in the kitchen remains as strong as ever, she still wields that old-fashioned flour sifter with pride. As a dedicated special needs educator, she delights in regularly collaborating and sharing her love and expertise of culinary arts with her students.
