Apple Cinnamon Waldorf Salad

Delicious healthy salad that tastes like dessert!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples, chopped
  • 1 medium pear, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 cup red grapes, cut in half
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, plain
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Chop the apples, pear, and celery and put into a large bowl.
  2. Slice the grapes in half. Add to the bowl.
  3. Add sunflower seeds to the bowl.
  4. Make the dressing by combining yogurt and cinnamon in a smaller bowl .
  5. Pour dressing over salad and stir to combine.
  6. Chill until ready to eat.

Notes

Variations to Try

  • Try different fruits, including dried fruit such as raisins, that you have at home.  
  • Add ½ cup of walnuts for extra protein
  • Enjoy this salad with a savory muffin, biscuit, or scone.
