Grilled Cheese Creepy Fingers
This fun take on grilled cheese sandos will please all your little monsters around Halloween time.
Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- 10 slices of whole grain bread
- 8 cherry or grape tomatoes
- 8 olives
- 10-12 leaves of spinach
- 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar, mozzarella or cheese of choice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of cream cheese ( to be used as glue)
- For cooking
- Extra butter or olive oil
Directions
- Mix cheese with pepper and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
- Cut tomatoes and olives in half; set aside for fingers.
- Spread butter on one side of 2 slices of bread.
- With the butter side down, top one slice of bread with cheese mixture and tear 2 spinach leaves on top of cheese. Top with the second bread slice, butter side up.
- Heat pan/skillet/griddle to medium. Place sandwich, butter side down, on pan or griddle. Brown on this side then flip and brown other side. Make sure cheese is melted.
- Allow sandwich to cool, then cut in 3-4 long rectangular pieces to resemble fingers.
- Use cream cheese as glue to attach tomatoes/olives as fingernails.
